New Members joined YAS – Auxiliary Medical Service Cadet Corps

In 2006, numbers of eleven youth uniform groups joined the Youth Ambassador Against Internet Piracy Scheme (YAS) aiming at boosting the awareness of Intellectual Property Rights through different kinds of activities. Subsequent to “I Pledge•Youth Ambassador Ocean Night” held late last year, the event has further drawn the public attention on the importance of respect and protect of intellectual property rights. In 2013, YAS has enlarged the coverage by successfully inviting the participation of 2 new youth uniform groups, the Auxiliary Medical Service Cadet Corps & the Association of Hong Kong Flag-guards, since 19 April.

The Auxiliary Medical Service Cadet Corps was launched in 2011 with members aged from 12 to 18. Their purposes are to encourage youngsters to learn different kinds of skills and leadership during groups’ activities and trainings. They are also aiming at building youngster’s confident, sense of responsibilities, discipline and spirit of public service.

The Association of Hong Kong Flag-guards was first introduced in July 2002 targeting to cultivate the flag culture among the schools and associations. It aims at reinforcing the recognition of our Country and attention to Country’s affairs through the participation in flag-guards. Up to now, there are 420 numbers of flag-guards in various kinds of the society.

With the continuous development of YAS, protection awareness of IPR can further cover youth ambassadors’ family, friends, classmates and to the society.
