I Pledge・Youth Ambassador Ocean Park Gala

The Intellectual Property and Investigation Bureau collaborated with Intellectual Property Department to organize “I Pledge・Youth Ambassador Ocean Park Gala”. Held in 6 January 2007, the gala aimed to encourage youth ambassadors to continue working close with the Customs in fighting against Internet piracy using existing online reporting system and to promote a correct attitude towards internet intellectual property right (IPR) to their peers.

About 1,300 youth ambassadors and youngsters participated in the gala, who were led by Assistant Commissioner (Intelligence and Investigation) Tam Yiu-keung and Director of Intellectual Property Stephen Selby to make a pledge in promising not to download copyrighted materials from the internet. All the participants enjoyed themselves with musical performances by pop artists later on, who also shared messages of IPR protection.
