“Youth Ambassador” educational activity
Date: 14/10/2006
The first educational activity under the Scheme was held at the Customs and Excise Training School, where presentations on simulated piracy activities were arranged for Youth Ambassadors to know more about Customs law enforcement work. A question and answer game was organized to enhance their awareness of the importance of IPR protection and the related legislations. The most fascinating part was a demonstration by two DVD Sniffing Dogs in detecting pirated optical discs arranged through the Motion Picture Association.
Many overseas Customs organizations, IPR industry representatives, including Motion Picture Association, International Federation of the Phonographic Industry (Hong Kong Group) Limited, Television Broadcasts Limited, Hong Kong Brand Protection Alliance, Hong Kong Jewellery & Jade Manufacturers Association, Hong Kong Chamber of Small and Medium Business Limited, Film Development Fund Projects Vetting Committee and Hong Kong Film & Video Security Limited participated in this activity.
