Youth Ambassadors Songs and Lyrics Creation Workshop 2015

To cultivate the respect for IPR among youngsters, the Customs and Excise Department, Intellectual Property Department and the Intellectual Property Rights Protection Alliance co-organized a two-day Songs and Lyrics Workshop for the Youth Ambassadors at the Customs Headquarters Buildings on 1st April and 2nd April.

With the assistance of the Composers and Authors Society of Hong Kong Limited (CASH), members of IPRPA, notable professionals of the music industry including Mr. Ma Ka Kwan (馬仔), and Mr. So Kin Wai (喬星) were invited to deliver lectures to the Youth Ambassadors. The speakers covered various topics on songs and lyrics creation and shared their valuable experiences in the music industry with the Youth Ambassadors. The speakers also performed music together with the Youth Ambassadors in order to deepen their understandings of creating songs and lyrics.

From the Workshop, apart from developing their potentials, the Youth Ambassadors have also understood protecting IPR is vital in the sustainability of the creative industry.
